May Worship Services

May 13, 20, and 27, 2012:
11 a.m. - One Service Only (Sanctuary)
8:30 a.m. - Service As Usual (Sanctuary)
We are combining our two 11 a.m. services May 13, 20 and 27. May 13 our Confirmands will renew the covenant declared at their baptism. On Sunday, May 20, we will recognize our graduating high school seniors. Then, on May 27, we will celebrate Pentecost—described by many Christians as
the birth date of the Church.

“Better Living” Easter through Pentecost

Learn about making a different kind of better living.
In the wake of the Strawbridge Wellness Fair and Easter’s celebration of life the focus of this series is on various aspects of wellness and wholeness. In a way, it's a “Stewardship” series—but the focus of our “management” is on aspects of our being: mind, body, spirit, social life, work and play. The Better Living series will be presented each Sunday during the Crossroads contemporary service at 11 a.m.

Living Water International - May Mission Focus

Perhaps nothing is taken more for granted by us Americans than clean water.
According to Living Water International, unlike war and terrorism, the global water crisis does not make media headlines, despite the fact that it claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns. Unlike natural disasters, it does not rally concerted international action, despite the fact that more people die each year from drinking dirty water than from the world’s hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, and earthquakes combined. We're taking action! Strawbridge United Methodist Church is sending a team to dig a well in El Salvador this fall.
