Adult EducationChristian Education is an integral part of the Strawbridge experience. There are classes for all ages with a variety of meeting times throughout the week. Adult Sunday School classes meet each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. A variety of adult Sunday school classes are offered, each with its own special mix of styles and interests. Various classes pursue Bible study, study books by popular authors, cover topics on social concerns, or discuss family life issues.

ADVENT CLASS

We are currently studying the Gospel of John which is unique in all the gospels. John's near poetic revelation of the Son of God is considered by many to be the jewel in the gold crown of the Bible. Join us as we learn and apply scripture to our lives.

CRUSADERS CLASS

The Crusaders class is made up of mature adults, mostly over 55. There are usually 8 to 18 members present on Sunday morning. The Adult Bible Studies and the Bible are principle class resources with help from The New International Lesson Annual which covers the entire Bible over a six year period. Scriptures are read and discussed as to what they must have meant when originally written, and how they apply to us today. Class meetings begin with personal conversation, concerns, and prayer. Visitors and members, old or new, are welcome.

The Discover class welcomes young couples and singles as we study a variety of materials in an interactive setting. We're currently studying Francis Chan's book Crazy Love. We study many current Biblically-founded teachers and preachers including Rob Bell's NOOMA video series, Rick Warren, and Max Lucado. Our lessons and discussions are springboards for learning how to experience God in our everyday lives.

All adults are welcome. Class members periodically arrange fellowship activities such as dinners, golf, camp-outs, and an annual T-shirt exchange Christmas party.

The HomeBuilders class emphasizes family life and a Christian home. The class averages 30 people, most of whom have families with young and school-aged children.

SEEKERS (Hearing System Available)

Leaders, John Paradysz and John Christian
The Seekers Class is a caring group of about 35 members in the 30-90 age range who come together to share the Word of God, alternating between Bible-centered studies and contemporary Christian growth studies. We enjoy Christian fellowship and have fun. The class has social activities each year such as Christmas parties, video scavenger hunts, progressive dinners, and murder mystery parties. The Seekers Class supports and is active in every mission activity of the church.

Disciple draws upon the work of scholars, personal Bible reading and study, and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible.

This group meets over coffee each Tuesday morning at 5:30 in room 112 (The Library). This class gives participants the opportunity to study and pray with others who have a passion for learning and for supporting one another in their faith walks
