THE STORY SMALL GROUP
Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. and every Thursday at 10 a.m.
Leader, Roxann Bentsen

THE BOOK ENDS
Every Wednesday at 7 p.m.
This book group meets for laughter and fellowship - all while being challenged in their faith walk! They read a new book to discuss every month. Our current bok is Grace (Eventually): Thoughts on Faith, by Anne Llamott. Through Anne Lamott's many books (including six novels, her bestselling parenting memoir, Operating Instructions, and her popular guide to writing, Bird by Bird) the subject she keeps returning to is her faith, her deeply personal--"erratic," she says--journey in Christianity. Her latest book, Grace (Eventually), is her third collection of her "thoughts on faith," and she took the time to answer a few of our questions.

TUESDAY MORNING MEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Leader, Craig Freeman
This group meets over coffee each Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the library. They study the Bible in depth in an effort to discover Biblical truths and how to apply them to their lives. We're currently reading Ray Vander Laan’s With All Your Heart.  Ray Vander Laan takes us on a journey through Sinai and Israel, a region that is still largely desert but at times filled with lush, bountiful places. We will discover how Jesus called people to live in the Promised land. What can we learn during times of abundance and in times of desert. God led his people back to the desert often to relearn the lessons they had forgotten. John the Baptist and Jesus had powerful encounters in the desert. We will learn that the desert is where we are closest to God. It is where our relationship with God is at peace.

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Leader, Tom Stream
This class gives participants the opportunity to study and pray with others who have a passion for learning and for supporting one another in their faith walks. This group of early risers meets over coffee each Tuesday morning at 5:30 a.m. in the library. Their current study is The Ten Commandments from the Back Side – Using an approach similar to the one he took in Parables from the Back Side and Old Testament Stories from the Back Side, J. Ellsworth Kalas opens new possibilities of insights into the familiar Ten Commandments. Restating them in the positive, Kalas explores how these "prohibitive" laws actually are our dear friends, intended to make life richer and more fulfilling. Kalas uses contemporary illustrations and personal experience to show how these timeless laws give us an appetite for divine excellence.

  COMPANIONS IN CHRIST GROUPS

Companions in Christ I meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays in the homes of members.
